I was digging through my old Iphone recordings yesterday and discovered a little thing of me blowing over the standard “East of the Sun”. It’s amazing that how easy it is to record things but then forget them straight away due to the over abundance of recordings. As a result I’m not 100% who is in the rhythm section as it was Feb 2015. None the less they are killing and it’s been a nice trip for me to rediscover some music that I love but don’t play so much anymore.

Enjoy!

Tromindie Extract

Last week I stepped into the studio with some of my closest friends and favourite musicians to record a set of new music under the project name “TROMINDIE”.

Its a new direction for me and this clip below is a little improvisation from the end of the second day with myself on live trumpet and engineer Richie B on live Space Echo.

The Maurice Effect

I wrote this track after an inspiring trip to Umbria Jazz Festival in 2009. During 10 days participating in the Berklee Clinics I saw amazing performances by jazz legends and every night from midnight hung out and played at the Elf CLub Jam sessions. One night the great Trumpeter Maurice Brown came in and we jammed a few tunes – His energy, musicality and trumpet styling made a huge impact on me.

Arrow :: Navigator will be released very soon!
